Down from the stars

This is a painting about the magical feeling i got one night when i could have swarn i felt my daughters soul enter my body. My mum told me its the quickening which sounds like  a very old term. I painted this years later when working on my project, Brain Maze where i was trying to understand myself and other people by looking at the memorable moments in life. Our upbringings and our bringing up of others. For me, this was the most pivital moment of my life. The love i felt then and the love a feel now remains the same. I lived on a protest site at the time and on the night in question i was visiting friends down the road at the traveller site. This life experiance also had a big impact on who i am and both me and my daughters will ever be deeply connected to nature having spent so much time in it.
